  • Back-to-School Sidewalk Cleanup

A neighborhood-wide sidewalk cleanup to get our safe walking routes ready for back-to-school!

    1. Explore the walking routes around a Mt. Lebanon school and determine the work needed to make it safer.

    2. Spend a few hours removing litter, trimming bushes, trees, etc.. Tip: you’ll need trimmers, trash bags, gloves, etc.

    3. Send photos to info@movelebo.org or tag @movelebo on Instagram.

We’ve created a map for residents to highlight areas that need attention. Our focus for this cleanup is safe routes to school. Click below to view/comment on the map and we'll do our best to turn them into cleanup locations!

    BACK-TO-SCHOOL SIDEWALK CLEANUP MAP

You can either identify an area that needs attention or identify a cleanup meetup that you are hosting. Anyone can volunteer as an organizer or just cleanup on your own.

We love before and after pictures so don’t forget to take a pic before you start!

  • AUTOMATED RED LIGHT ENFORCEMENT (ARLE)

Automated enforcement makes our streets safer. Automated red light enforcement has been shown to reduce the fatal red light running crash rate by 21%. There are 337 US cities already using automated red light enforcement systems.

While the Mt. Lebanon commission is supportive of implementing Automated Red Light Enforcement, PA Vehicle Code 75 § 3117excludes municipalities in Allegheny County from being authorized to implement ARLE.

The existing code is up for review again in 2027, and PA lawmakers have indicated to Move Lebo their willingness to include Allegheny County in the new code.

  • Call to Action: PRT Funding Crisis

Access to transit is critical to making our community more connected, vibrant, and walkable. We’ve frequently heard from our members and through public comments at municipal meetings that access to transit is one of the reasons people choose to move to and stay in Mt. Lebanon.

However, Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) is facing a funding crisis that could lead to huge service cuts across the Pittsburgh region and a fare increase to one of the highest in the country. Click “Learn More” to find out how you can help.

  • Dude, Where's my Complete Street?!

Calling all armchair urbanists! Our Complete Streets Policy requires all transportation modes to be considered during street repaving. We need your feedback on what you’d like to see in your neighborhood.

  • Pennsylvania Blvd Trail Restoration

This hidden gem is in need of some serious TLC. Over the past couple of months, Move Lebo has been working to restore this trail for the community. We have BIG plans and need your help!
