When you support Move Lebo you’re supporting…

  • Advocacy

    Advocacy

Move Lebo is committed to advocating for safer streets, designed for people. We organize letter writing campaigns, panel discussions and “pack the room” events, to ensure our voices are being heard. In addition, we will continue to hold our leaders accountable to make certain that existing policies, such as Complete Streets, are implemented.

  • Education

    Education

Move Lebo is working to educate our community about the importance of safer streets, bike infrastructure and people-centered design. We share the same desire, to experience our community in a way that builds connection and a sense of place.

  • Connecting Key Stakeholders

    Stakeholder Collaboration

Move Lebo functions as a resource to aid in collaboration between key stakeholders by creating opportunities for connection between residents, local businesses, the school district, other local nonprofits and the municipality. Together, we are setting a vision for the future of Mt. Lebanon’s streets through a collaborative mapping project.

  • Sidewalk cleanups

Move Lebo volunteers conduct monthly sidewalk cleanups, directed by resident input, to help create safer walking routes and beautify our community. We’re only getting started - we have big plans to continue to make incremental improvements, one step at a time. Check the Events page for future cleanups.

  • Learn to ride kid bike courses

We want every kid to experience the joy and freedom that biking provides and learn how to do it safely. Our learn to ride kid bike courses have been a huge hit- offering kids the opportunity to ride in a safe, car free space. We are working to build our fleet of balance bikes and supplies in order to offer regular bike courses, perhaps at your next block party.

  • Interactive Community events

Placemaking is foundational to our mission. Through interactive community events, ordinary spaces are re-envisioned and transformed into extraordinary spaces where people can gather and connect. We promote the creative redesign of what already exists.

  • Run Lebo Challenge

Mt. Lebanon has 86 miles of roads, and the challenge is to run them all! We have a strong community of runners here in Mt. Lebanon. This challenge is designed to bring fellow runners together to explore the streets of our community. It’s also an opportunity to highlight areas that need to be improved, such as unsafe sidewalks and crosswalks.

  • WALK LEBO CLUB

Looking for a way to explore the beautiful neighborhoods of Mt. Lebanon and meet new friends? This is the group for you. Supporting our mission to create community, the Walk Lebo Club brings people of all ages together to walk and talk and share ideas.

  • Bike Lebo Group Rides

Build your confidence for road riding and learn how to make e-bikes part of your daily routine. Ride with us and learn safe routes to get from one place to another without having to navigate busy roads. This group was created to support new riders and get more bikes out in the community. We’ll show you not only is it possible - it’s a ton of fun. Say hello to biking and goodbye to searching for parking.

  • DIY RELFECTIVE GEAR

Look for the Move Lebo Creation Station at the next community event and make your own slice of reflective pizza or bike streamer. Our Creation Station provides the supplies for people to create their own reflective gear to help make them more visible as they Move (around) Lebo.

  • Member Appreciation Events

We couldn’t do our work without the support of our members. While we have a long list of of work to do, we believe it’s essential to create meaningful relationships and have fun along the way. Member appreciation events are our way to give back and say thank-you for your support.

  • Future Plans
